Fire That Transforms
At temperatures reaching up to 1300°C, the kiln does more than harden clay — it transforms it. The heat reshapes minerals, blends glazes, and creates textures that can never be fully predicted. No two pieces ever emerge the same, and that’s the beauty of it.
It’s a moment of alchemy — where what you’ve made with your hands is revealed in its truest form.

What the Kiln Teaches Us
Learning Through the Kiln
Every firing is a lesson in patience and trust. Once the kiln door closes, the artist lets go. The process reminds us that creation is about surrender as much as control about letting nature, heat, and time do their part.
When students see their finished pieces for the first time, it’s always a moment of wonder, a mix of pride, surprise, and joy.
A common surprise for first timers is that you don’t leave with your finished pieces on the day, lets explain the process:
MAKE Pieces are made within your session.
DRY pieces are left to air dry until they are completely dry. This can take up to a week.
BISQUE FIRING they go into the kiln for the first firing
GLAZING studio team then apply transparent glaze to your pieces which makes them shiny.
GLAZE FIRE a second firing makes them food safe and waterproof.
COLLECTION once your pieces have finished
